Rogers Parents: Raise Your Hands!

We have many open positions for the 2020 to 2021 school year. Interested?

Contact either PTO co-president Celeste Frye-Lintern at

cfryelintern@gmail.com or Leigh Morfoot at leigh@kinobserver.com.

Communications Committee: Help the PTO and RIS sta spread the word about

activities and important notications by writing and posting content for the PTO

website, RIS Current and social media outlets.

Directory Producer: Where would we be without the directory to connect with other

RIS families? This important job formats data provided by the school into a valuable

resource.

Information Technology Committee: Keeps the payment portals operational and

information flowing to PTO board members.

Yearbook Committee: Help create a treasured keepsake of the year’s events for

lower and upper school families.

Green Team: As a LEED certified green school, we take pride in environmentalism

inside and out of the building. Green team members can run with their interests and

often bring dierent ideas to the table. In the past, they have spearheaded the creation

of outdoor classrooms and birdcams. What will you bring?

School Photos: Book Cassidy studios for a day that works for you and the school and

then help students and sta look great for their shots. This role requires a parent who

can be on campus for photo days. You will get to know literally everyone while running

an important fundraiser for the PTO.

Spanish Translation: Translates community-wide, English-written 'yers and emails

into Spanish to reach parents who speak the language.

Uniforms/School Store: Ensure that parents and kids can purchase the uniform items

they want by placing orders and running the store once a week and at special events.

Lower School Social Committee: Backyard movie night, ice cream socials, Bingo and

more require parents to organize, set up and run. A great opportunity to participate in

making these events special for everyone!

Community Outreach Committee: Throughout the year, the PTO sources materials

for RIS families in need. From Halloween costumes to food and more, committee

members make a real difference in the lives of these children.

Board of Ed Rep: Want to learn more about Stamford Public Schools decision making?

BOE reps attend or watch BOE meetings online and keep the PTO Board in-the-loop with what’s going on.

Lower School PTO Teacher Rep: Help foster communication between teachers and

the PTO.
