The Green Team
The Green Team helps maintain the unique, outdoor features of our school, including outdoor classrooms and gardens. They also work with the administration and staff to develop hands-on environmental curriculum.
In 2021 and 2022, the Green Team purchased umbrellas and tables to add to RIS's new outdoor learning spaces.
They've been working with students and teachers to beautify
our school grounds. Every spring, look for along our fence lines for a colorful variety of daffodils, crocuses, iris, and tulips, thank to the bulbs that students and committee members have been planting this fall.
Future plans include sowing wildflower seeds in the spring to help support native species of butterflies, bees and birds, so we can be a part of the Pollinator Pathway.
