Rogers 6th Graders take the lead in the SPS/Soundwaters/NOAA One Million Bottle Cap challenge

Sixth graders at Rogers have joined forces with SPS's middle schools in the One Million Bottle Cap Challenge taking place throughout the 2019-2020 school year.

The Rogers 6th graders have collected (and potentially removed from our environment/water supply) nearly 4000 bottle caps in less than two weeks since kicking off their pursuit in early October.

Student leaders from each 6th grade homeroom held their first meeting last Friday to brainstorm ways to get the entire school involved and energize the community around this project.  The leaders will be meeting regularly Friday mornings to bring their ideas to action.

How can you help?  Save your plastic bottle caps.  Ask your family, co-workers and friends if they can save theirs for you too.  When you have chance, bring them to room 236.  We'll count them for you.
