Rogers PTO Open Positions for 2019-2020 - Email current Board member listed for more info

Without volunteers, events don’t happen and enrichment activities become more expensive! Volunteer Today!

  • President (Jill @ jill1rogerspto@gmail.com ) - Responsible for ensuring dates and topics for all General PTO Meetings. Prepare agenda for and lead monthly board meetings. Serve as point person for inquiries. Act as liason with school administration. Maintain PTO calendar, making sure events don’t overlap etc. - Like to know what’s going on at school? Want to bring fresh ideas to the table? Then President is the role for you. Does require the ability to spend some time on PTO matters nearly every week and to respond to issues/questions quickly.

  • Secretary (Kara @ kararogers2016@gmail.com ) - Maintain email list for all PTO board members. Manage Evite and take notes at all board meetings and distribute. - Ability to attend most board meetings (usually alternates b/w 8AM or 7PM at Rogers) is essential.

  • Co Chair Fundraising (Maria @ mriccardelli916@yahoo.com ) - Work with other co-chair to identify and execute 2 major and 2 minor fundraisers throughout the year. Examples: catalogue (eg Believe or Mixed Bag) , the Rogers Gala, family portrait sittings, & Restaurant nights. - Do you excel at identifying good ways to make money? Can you recruit a few friends to help with project execution? Then this is for you! It does not require your time every week. You will be busy for a week or two at the beginning of school to identify and plan activities and then again during the execution of the fundraisers. If you chose to hold The Gala in 2019/20, it will be a lot of work (for a big benefit!) so it’s important to recruit event chairs.

  • Co Chair (1) Upper School Social (Christine @ clw1214@yahoo.com or Jen @ jmargnelli@optonline.net) - Plan social events for upper school students: Monster Mash, Luau, 7th grade activity, 8 th grade dance, & graduation party. - Do you love seeing the kids have a great time? Do you like decorating? Then this is for you. Requires time usually in later afternoons and evenings to help run the activities.

  • Co Chairs (2) Lower School Social (Nikki @ Nikkilesage@gmail.com ) - Work with other co-chair to plan and manage social events for predominantly lower school students: Ice Cream socials (2), Back to School Outdoor Movie Night, and International Potluck. - Do you love seeing the kids have a great time? Then this is for you. Requires time usually in later afternoons and evenings to help run the activities.

  • Chair Green Team (or Co-Chairs) (Thais @ thais@thathos.com or Jane @ lumpa3@hotmail.com ) - Work with the school on developing any environmental interests you have (recycling, wind energy, nature conservation) or just maintain current programs (birdhouse monitoring, Purple Martin project, Lorax Project). No experience necessary - Amount of time is completely up to you. Ideas and opportunities are endless.

  • Yearbook editors (2) (Jill @ jill1rogerspto@gmail.com or Melissa @ mhoffman6432@gmail.com) - Manage the creation of 2 yearbooks (LS, US) via online publisher. Ensure there are enough photos of events, sports, candids etc. by taking them yourself or identifying others who will. Design yearbooks and distribute. - Like creating Shutterfly photobooks? Going into school to photograph kids? This is for you. Requires time throughout the year and especially from April – June.

  • The Current/Rispto.org Website Managers (Anna @ ptowebpayments@gmail.com) - Want to be the first to know? Are you a good communicator? We’ll teach you the rest. Work at home, on your own time!

  • School Portrait Coordinator (Suzanne @ smzaleski@yahoo.com) - Coordinate with the portrait studio and school administration to set dates for and manage 3 picture days (indiv. and class days in Fall, & Retake day in early Dec.) This is a significant fundraiser for the PTO and helps fund many activities. - Long time portrait coordinator Suzanne Zaleski will work side by side with you in the fall of 2019 to train you so 2020 will be a breeze!
